LABRADOR NEWS ROUNDUP — Nickel-copper-cobalt found at Tasisuak Lake

Drillers for Vancouver-listed partners Consolidated Viscount Resources and Consolidated Magna Ventures have hit a gabbro dyke on their Tasisuak Lake property 50 km west of Voisey Bay. The dyke is mineralized, with disseminated to semi-massive sulphides.

Two of three holes in the C zone intersected the dyke. Hole TL2 hit 3.72 metres of 0.72% nickel, 0.38% copper and 0.02% cobalt, while TL5 hit 23.7 metres of 0.47% nickel, 0.16% copper and 0.02% cobalt, including a 5.23-stretch of 1.15% nickel, 0.42% copper and 0.04% cobalt. In addition, a broad width of disseminated sulphides in the gneissic wallrocks surrounding the dyke returned anomalous-to-ore-grade nickel-copper-cobalt values. Viscount and Magna, which own 49 and 51%, respectively, of the property, plan to carry out follow-up drilling immediately.
