The first two holes drilled on the Niatak Island property in Labrador have encountered narrow layers of massive sulphides.
Vancouver-listed partners Starcore Resources and Goldnev Resources are drill-testing an east-west-trending zone which returned grab samples, on surface, of up to 0.65% copper, 0.32% nickel and 0.11% cobalt.
The first hole did not reach the targeted horizon but did intersect a narrow zone of massive sulphides. The second hole encountered numerous massive sulphide layers of pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite mineralization. The layers ranged from 5 cm to 1 metre in thickness, distributed over 30 metres of core. Core is being shipped for assaying, and the final hole of the 3-hole program is in progress.
