LABRADOR NEWS ROUNDUP — Magna locates copper gossans

Preliminary exploration of the Rocky Cove property, 220 km northeast of Goose Bay, Labrador, has identified two copper-bearing gossans.

Consolidated Magna Ventures (VSE) reports that iron oxide and sulphide minerals occur as disseminations and fracture fillings containing visible chalcopyrite mineralization within a coarse-grained gabbro dyke. The two new copper showings are situated 6 and 8.5 km, respectively, along strike to the east of a previously known copper showing (up to 0.3% copper plus anomalous nickel) in what appears to be the same gabbro dyke. Samples are being assayed. A follow-up program of geophysical surveying to identify potential drill targets is being considered.
