LABRADOR NEWS ROUNDUP — Cartaway prepares to drill

Permitting is under way for drilling at the Cirque project owned by Cartaway Container (VSE) in Labrador.

The company hopes to have rigs activated by early October to test a broad, magnetic, highly conductive zone measuring 250 by 500 metres, or perhaps larger.

The Cartaway ground is bordered on the west by Canadian States Gas, and on the southwest by Noranda.

Meanwhile, Cartaway has signed an agreement with International Silver Ridge Resources to earn a 51% interest in that company’s Cabot Lake property in Labrador.

Gossanous rocks have been observed on the claim, and Cartaway plans to carry out prospecting and geological mapping, as well as a ground electromagnetic and magnetic survey.
