Beleaguered Westmin Resources (TSE) suffered a net loss of $27 million in 1993, compared with a loss of $18.1 million in the previous year.
The results were affected by an ongoing labor dispute at its Myra Falls operations on Vancouver Island, as well as by the cessation of open-pit mining at the Premier gold mine near Stewart, B.C.
Revenues in 1993 fell to $63.8 million from $123 million in 1992.
