Drilling by
Two zones, Roberto and Roberto Est, are being explored.
Drilling in the southern part of the Roberto zone returned 22.27 grams gold per tonne over 11 metres, 12.87 grams over 11 metres, and 15.07 grams over 7 metres.
Two holes tested the zone to a vertical depth of 350 metres: hole 55 cut 7 grams gold over 12.25 metres at a down-hole depth of 409 metres (including a 5-metre section grading 10.3 grams gold per tonne) and hole 52 hit 6 metres grading 6.9 grams gold at a down-hole depth of 420 metres (including 3 metres of 10.3 grams gold).
Another 11 holes cut 3.3-15.4 grams gold over widths ranging from 1.25 to 8 metres.
Locally the zone is cut by barren, sub-horizontal, pegmatite dykes, the thickness of which varies from one to tens of metres. Results from hole 29 indicate mineralization continues below these dykes. However, hole 49 was drilled for 369 metres, cut pegmatite, and failed to intersect significant mineralization.
The Roberto zone has been defined over a strike length of 450 metres and to a depth of 350 metres. It remains open in all directions.
Hole 46, drilled into the southern portion of Roberto Est, cut 11 metres grading 19.6 grams gold at a down-hole depth of 67 metres, followed by 4 metres grading 22 grams gold at 103 metres down-hole. Another hole, ELE-04-41, drilled in the northern portion of the zone, hit 10.12 grams gold over 6.25 metres at 190 metres down-hole, followed by 12.5 grams gold over 5 metres at 235 metres down-hole.
Eleven other holes cut grades ranging from 2 to 10.2 grams gold over widths of 2-25 metres. Four holes failed to cut significant mineralization.
The Roberto Est zone is open in all directions. It has been cut at a vertical depth of just over 250 metres. The mineralized zone is wider at this depth; hole 53 cut 25 metres grading 5.7 grams gold 334 metres down-hole. Three drills continue to test both zones.
