The British Columbia government is conducting a $600,000 geophysical survey in the Kootenay River area to help find new mineral deposits.
The survey covers a portion of the southern Purcell Mountains near Cranbrook.
Results will be released in early 1996 as part of a comprehensive geoscience information package on the Kootenay area.
The survey is being carried out by Dighem, and is supervised by the Geological Survey of Canada.
