A summer exploration program has started on 405 claims owned by Kingswood Explorations (ASE) in the Eastmain River area of northeastern Quebec. The program will consist of stripping, blasting and sampling on two separate claim blocks which host electromagnetic conductors identified by recent airborne geophysical surveys. A follow-up diamond drilling program comprising about 5,000 ft. will begin on the property in July, the company said.
Kingswood recently staked another 105 claims in the Eastmain area to cover the Colline Noire copper-zinc-silver showings. The claim group hosts at least three known copper-zinc-silver occurrences and covers a potential strike length of three miles. A 5,000-ft. drilling program is scheduled for those claims following initial stripping and sampling work.
At Kingswood’s Val d’Or area joint venture with Noranda (TSE) in Bourlamaque Twp., Que., a downhole geophysical survey and diamond drilling program is expected to commence in July.
