Two drill holes on property in Beauchastel Twp. in northwestern Quebec have intersected “very interesting copper values,” Kimex Resources (ME) reports. The property is located 15 miles west of Rouyn-Noranda.
The company says a 4-ft-wide chalcopyrite-bearing zone is visible on surface for about 140 ft, before disappearing under the overburden. The holes were drilled 120 ft apart, with KB-88-01 returning 6.78% copper over 12.5 ft (165-177.5 ft) and KB-88-02 returning 5.03% over 12 ft (48.5-60.5 ft).
