Kimberlites prove elusive for Kennecott in S.E. Alberta

A drill program aimed at uncovering kimberlites on the Masumeka property in the Hinton area of Alberta has proved unsuccessful.

Kennecott Canada tested eight high-priority magnetic targets in a program comprising 2,344 metres. No kimberlites were encountered.

The Masumeka property is held 55% by New Claymore Resources (NCS-V), 35% by Montello Resources (MEO-A) and 10% by Troymin Resources (TYR-A). It is one of several properties under option to Kennecott, which can earn a 60% interest in the package.
