The Colorado Mining Association recently elected Kit Kimball to the position of chairman.
Kimball is the first woman to be elected to the top leadership position of the association in its 117-year history.
Director of governmental affairs with Amax Resource Conservation Co. in Golden, Colo., Kimball has served on the association’s board of directors since 1986.
