Kennecott getting new president

The president and chief executive officer of Kennecott is retiring in June. Frank Joklik will be succeeded by Robert Cooper, the current chief operating officer.

Joklik has headed Kennecott, a wholly-owned subsidiary of RTZ (NYSE), since 1960.

Kennecott’s return to economic health after grave difficulties in the early and mid-1980s reflects Joklik’s tireless efforts, said RTZ CEO Robert Wilson.
