Drilling on the La Currita property near Chihuahua, Mexico, is returning good gold-silver intersections over wide widths.
The La Currita property is leased to Kalahari Resources (VSE) which has the right to purchase a 100% interest for US$9 million.
The drilling is part of a 5,000-ft. program designed to test a quartz vein system exposed on surface over a 4,000-ft. strike length and a width of 20-40 ft.
Hole LC-2 intersected 80 ft. grading 0.044 oz. gold and 4.36 oz. silver per ton from 120 ft. to 200 ft. About 200 ft. north of this hole, LC-4 intersected 40 ft. grading 0.048 oz. gold and 5.05 oz. silver.
A further 50 ft. north of LC-4, hole LC-5 cut 35 ft. from 145 ft. to 180 ft. at an average grade of 0.041 oz. gold and 4.29 oz. silver.
Hole LC-14, drilled about 800 ft. to the southeast of hole LC-2, intersected 80 ft. from 130 ft. to 210 ft. with an average grade of 0.14 oz. gold and 4.6 oz. silver.
The company is waiting for assays on eight holes drilled between LC-14 and LC-2. Kalahari notes that the true width of the intersections is estimated at about 80% of that reported.
