Kabenung project

Gold values have been assayed by Tundra Gold Mines (VSE) from the company’s Kabenung project in the Mishibishu area. Located west of Wawa, Ont., the property is north of the Magnacon mine being built by partners Muscocho Explorations, Windarra Minerals and Flanagan McAdam Resources.

A prospecting program on the Kabenung property has led to the discovery of a 1,200-ft wide shear zone and 11 quartz veins and stockworks ranging in width from 10 ft to 60 ft. The quartz veins crosscut the shear zone, which is strongly altered.

Grab samples from the zone yielded assays of 0.22 oz gold, 0.041 oz, 0.007 oz and 0.038 oz. Samples from a second zone assayed 0.41 oz, 0.28 oz and 0.03 oz from grabs.

A drill program is in progress and the first core has been split and sent for assay. Two additional drill rigs are being added to the program.
