Junior eyes nickel project

Having acquired five properties on Quebec’s North Shore, Ressources Appalaches (APP-M) plans to drill-test the ground for its nickel-cobalt-copper potential.

Three of the properties are 90 km north of Baie-Comeau; the others are near the Manicougan reservoir. The junior also holds copper and gold properties in the lower St. Lawrence and Gasp regions.

Some exploratory work has taken place on the properties near Baie-Comeau, which returned values as high as 17% copper, 3.84% nickel and 0.2% cobalt. The properties farther north comprise five conductive zones identified during a recent geophysical survey. Furrow samples yielded 0.63% nickel and 0.38% copper over 2.9 metres, and 0.42% nickel and 0.15% copper over 3.6 metres.
