A joint-venture agreement between Barrick Gold (TSE) and Jordex Resources (TSE) enables the former to earn a 60% interest in nine gold properties in eastern Bolivia.
To do so, Barrick must spend up to US$2 million on exploration over two years and pay Jordex US$350,000 during the earn-in period.
Barrick can increase its interest in selected properties to 75% by funding expenditures to a production decision. The nine properties are in the country’s Precambrian Shield.
Jordex has built an exploration position in seven gold provinces extending from eastern Bolivia into northern Brazil.
