Toronto-listed Jonpol Explorations can earn a half interest in International Tournigan’s (VSE) gold property in Mali, West Africa.
Tournigan completed soil and rock chip sampling in 1994 and obtained anomalous gold values from several areas. The 205-sq.-km concession is underlain by rocks of the Birimian group and is 20 km southwest of Anglo-American’s newly commissioned gold mine, scheduled to produce 395,000 oz. annually.
Jonpol must spend US$1.5 million on exploration over the next three years. It can increase its interest to 60% by providing a bankable feasibility study.
