Joining forces to offer a national Mining Industry Communications Workshop June 2-4 at the new Westin Hotel in Denver are the American Mining Congress and the National Coal Association.
Half-day training sessions will be offered on crisis communications planning, media-training, computer-assisted communication technology and building coalitions to support mining’s legislative objectives.
Conducting a working session on how mining companies can gain acceptance and support for their projects will be public relations expert Patrick Jackson. And, Michael Bowlin, president of Arco Coal, and Robert Calman, chairman of Echo Bay Mines, will be featured as speakers on mining communications from the chief executive’s viewpoint.
