Jascan, Novamin report visible gold at Nova Scotia bet

Visible gold has been identified in eight of 11 holes logged to date at the joint-venture Dufferin mine gold property in Nova Scotia, Jascan Resources and Novamin Resources/ Breakwater Resources report.

Since the second-phase drilling program was started in August, 18 drill holes, totalling 7,787 ft, have been completed. Assay results are pending from seven of these holes while the remaining seven are still to be logged and sampled.

Some of the better results from the first four holes drilled include 0.34 oz gold per ton over 7.2 ft from hole J-20, 0.1 oz over 7.9 ft from hole J-21, 0.25 oz over 5 ft from hole J-26 and 0.57 oz over 5 ft from hole J-27. (The company has averaged the assays weight over a minimum 5-ft interval.)

An additional six holes will be drilled to complete the second- phase program which will total about 10,000 ft.

The joint venture says the current program represents in-fill drilling in a gold-bearing zone 1,800 ft long which was identified in the first drilling program. This zone is open along strike in both directions and open down dip.
