Encouraging results have been received by J.A.G. Mines (ME) from underground sampling of the Aubelle vein at the Belleterre property in northwestern Quebec.
Average grade of the assays of 10 bulk samples weighing a total of 650 lb was 0.18 oz gold per ton, with free gold noted by the laboratory. Reserves (all classes) are estimated to be 386,000 tons.
President Pierre Gevry says installation of a small test mill on site is under consideration. He also says negotiations are under way with a potential project partner.
In other news, the company, which owns the mining rights to two silica deposits, one in the Montreal region and the other in Charlevoix Twp., is hoping to become a supplier of the mineral. Gevry says the company is talking with potential buyers.
