Interquest Resources has received encouraging results from drilling on the Follansbee Red Lake property near Red Lake, Ont. The project is being funded by Red Lake and Sun Valley Resources which can earn a 50% interest by spending $500,000.
Surface exploration has identified a 60-ft wide zone striking for 2,000 ft along strike. Grab samples taken along the zone at 5-ft intervals assayed on average 0.15 oz gold per ton.
Some of the better sections include hole 11 which cut 13.5 ft grading 0.14 oz. Hole 12 intersected 5 ft assaying 0.096 oz. Another narrow 1-ft section grading 0.4 oz came in hole 1. The best section was drilled by hole 3 which intersected 5 ft assaying 0.289 oz. Based on the results, another 15,000-ft drill program has been recommended. The work will test the down-dip extension of the zone to a depth of 1,000 ft.
