Inter-Rock pours gold from Daisy mine

Toronto-based Inter-Rock Gold (IRO-T) has poured its first gold from the Daisy mine in Beatty, Nev.

The gold, totalling 439 oz., was poured at Rayrock Yellowknife Resources’ (RAY-T) Marigold mill in northern Nevada.

About 70,000 tons of oxide ore from the Daisy mine are stacked on newly completed leach pads at Marigold. Initial results indicate that Daisy’s ore can be leached in a 10-to-15-day period. Inter-Rock plans to stack a monthly average of 160,000 tons of ore through 1997.

The Daisy mine is 65%-owned by Inter-Rock and operated by Rayrock, which owns the remainder.
