Inter-Rock drills Daisy gold project

To increase reserves, Inter-Rock Gold (ME) is drilling on the Daisy gold project in southern Nevada.

The 20-hole reverse circulation program will total 11,000 ft. The cost will be US$300,000.

The company hopes to obtain infill and extension data at the Secret Pass deposit. In addition, two holes totaling 1,000 ft. will be drilled to obtain samples for a column leach test.

This test will confirm the leaching recovery from core-size rock. Previous tests on the oxidized gold mineralization indicated a recovery of 65-70%. Test work on the deeper, gold-bearing sulphide mineralization will determine the efficiency of acid-bacterial oxidation of pyrite from the larger rock size and half-inch, crushed material. Previous tests showed gold recoveries were high, the company says.

In addition, 15 reverse circulation holes will be drilled to test target areas northeast of Secret Pass. Drilling should total 9,000 ft. Daisy has a geological resource of 17.5 million tons grading 0.026 oz. gold per ton. Inter-Rock hopes to upgrade minable reserves of the oxide ore to 7 million tons at a similar grade, from 4.7 million tons grading 0.024 oz. It also hopes an additional 1-2 million tons of sulphide ore grading 0.05 oz. can be added to minable reserves.

In other company news, a low-level aeromagnetic survey was completed on the Highground diamond exploration area in the James Bay Lowlands in Ontario. Results should be available later in December.

Also, Inter-Rock is negotiating to acquire two other gold properties.
