Int’l Platinum acquires lithium property

Toronto-based junior International Platinum (TSE) has acquired a lithium property 144 km northeast of Thunder Bay, Ont.

A 55-metre-long channel sample from the 27-claim property yielded an average grade of 1.2% lithium (LiO2), while a 214-kg bulk-sample averaged 1.4% LiO2. Concentrate collected during test processing contained 7.12% LiO2. Lithium is lightweight and capable of accepting and discharging large electric loads rapidly without excessive heat generation.

Regulators must approve the purchase.
