Int’l Curator Res. adds to resource at Boleo project

The Boleo project in Baja California Sur, Mexico, is now estimated to contain 8.6 billion lb. copper and 640 million lb. cobalt.

International Curator Resources (TSE) commissioned Tucson-based Mintec to conduct a preliminary resource estimate at various cutoff grades.

Based on a 0% cutoff, the resource is estimated at 537.6 million tonnes grading 0.73% copper and 0.054% cobalt; at a 0.5% copper-equivalent cutoff, the resource drops to 443.8 million tonnes grading 0.85% copper and 0.065% cobalt; and at a 1% copper-equivalent cutoff, the figure falls further to 373.8 million tonnes grading 0.96% copper and 0.071% cobalt.

The estimates are based on 466 diamond drill holes and do not take into account results from the 20,000-metre drill program now under way. An initial mine plan is being prepared.
