Two officers of Agnico-Eagle Mines (TSE) excercised options and sold shares in October.
According to the Ontario Securities Commission’s OSC Bulletin, officer John Clement sold 3,000 shares at $19 to hold 3,400 shares.
Officer Barry Landen exercised 7,500 options at $4.95 and sold 4,500 shares at an undisclosed amount to hold 3,700 shares.
Agnico plans to amalgamate one of its wholly owned subsidiaries with Goldex Mines (TSE). Agnico currently owns about 7.5 million Goldex shares, or 56% of the company. The merger has yet to be approved by regulators. American Barrick Resources (TSE) — William Robertson, officer, exercised 20,000 options at $7.53 and sold 20,000 shares at $35 to hold 100,000 options. Louis Dionne, officer, exercised 16,700 options at $7.53 and sold 16,700 shares at $35.75 to hold 85,900 options.
Arimetco International (TSE) — Desmond Kearns, officer, was granted 90,000 options at $2.85 to hold 345,000 options.
Cameco (TSE) — Thomas Gorman, officer, exercised 4,500 options at $18.25 to hold 12,500 shares.
Louvem Mines (TSE) — Guy Pelletier, director and officer, was granted 205,000 options at 38-47 cents; he exercised 40,000 options at 38 cents, to hold 40,000 shares and 165,000 options.
Queenstake Resources (TSE) — Gordon Gutrath, director and officer, indirectly sold 41,000 shares at $1.32-2.35 to hold 1.2 million shares. Regal Goldfields (CDN) — H.M. Burns, director and officer, sold 26,000 shares at $2-2.25 to hold 55,000 shares.
Rhonda Mining (ASE) — Peter Gummer, director and senior officer, sold 23,300 shares at $5.50 to hold 15,000 shares.
Sikaman Gold Resources (TSE) — Arthur Griffis, director and officer, bought 476,190 shares at 31 cents to hold 1.2 million shares.
Spirit Lake Explorations (ME) — Kenneth Baird, director, was granted 50,000 options at 50 cents to hold 50,000.
Valdez Gold (ASE) — Alexander Mackenzie, director and officer, exercised 150,000 options at 75 cents to hold 330,000 shares.
Viceroy Resource (TSE) — Edward Holt, officer, bought 30,000 shares at $4 and sold 30,000 shares at $11.50 to hold 15,000 shares. Paul Saxton, officer, was granted 30,000 options at $9.25-10 and exercised 10,000 options at $4 to hold 65,000 options; he sold 10,000 shares at $12.25 to hold zero shares.
