About the time Rhonda Mining (ASE) resumed drilling in the Fort a la Corne diamond area of Saskatchewan, Chairman John Alston raised his stake in the junior by 35%.
According to the Ontario Securities Commission’s OSC Bulletin, Alston bought 17,500 shares in early February at $4.20 to hold 67,500. The stock recently traded at just over $7.
Rhonda’s properties surround the Cameco-Monopros-Uranerz joint venture, where several known kimberlites were bulk-sampled last November. While the joint venture awaits results (the samples are being processed in South Africa), Uranerz is reconnaissance-drilling several additional targets. With two rigs in operation, Rhonda expects to complete the current phase by the end of March.
