Insider Trading Pezim ups stake in Goldnev Res.

Vancouver promoter Murray Pezim recently moved to tighten his hold on Goldnev Resources (VSE), which has a 50% stake in the Goldstream copper-zinc property, north of Revelstoke, B.C. According to the Ontario Securities Commission’s Insider Trading Bulletin, Pezim bought 102,500 shares in March for 84-96 cents to hold 504,880.

Records show that Zareba Investments Ltd., a Pezim company, also sold 52,000 Goldnev warrants for 14-17 cents to hold 1,349,000. The transactions were completed before Goldnev agreed in principle to a merger with Bethlehem Resources (TSE), Goldnev’s joint venture partner at the Goldstream project.

Bethlehem holds the remaining 50% interest in Goldstream where reserves stand at 4.3 million tons of grade 3.69% copper, 2.63% zinc and 0.51 oz. silver per ton (T.N.M., May 21/90).

Other mining insiders who were active in the stock market recently include:

Cominco (TSE) director John May who sold 4,000 shares for $27.50 before buying 4,000 for $27.375 through a short selling transaction to hold none.

Dickenson Mines (TSE) director John Kachmar sold 3,595 shares for $5.125 to hold none.

Euro-Nevada Mining (TSE) Treasurer Paul Smith sold 2,133 shares for $14.375 to hold 4,167.

Geraldton Longlac Gold (COATS) shareholder Hardrock Extension Inc. bought 985,284 shares for 18-30 cents to hold 985,284.

Golden Knight Resources (TSE) director Harold Keevil exercised an option to buy 10,000 shares for $8.75. He also sold 14,000 shares for $12-14.50 to hold 1,000. In addition, Keevil sold 10,000 options to hold 20,000.

Redfern Resources (VSE) Co- Chairman George Fink exercised an option to buy 85,000 shares for 65 cents before selling 20,100 shares for $3.85-4.
