INSIDER TRADING — Campbell execs renew options

Recent insider trading transactions reported in the Ontario Securities Commission’s OSC Bulletin include the following:

* Campbell Resources (CCH-T) — Paul Ireland, officer, allowed 150,000 options to expire, which could have been exchanged for shares at 57 cents each, and was granted an equivalent number exchanged at 43 cents to hold 375,000 options; John Kachmar, director,

expired 300,000 options at 57 cents and received an equivalent number at 43 cents to hold an unspecified number; David Loder, officer, expired 50,000 options at 57 cents and received 50,000 options at 43 cents to hold 200,000; Lorna MacGillivray, officer, expired 100,000 options at 57 cents and received an equivalent number at 43 cents to hold 400,000; James McCartney, director, expired 100,000 options at 57 cents and received an equivalent number at 43 cents to hold 800,000; and James Raymond, director, expired 100,000 options at 57 cents and received an equivalent number at 43 cents to hold 600,000.

  • Claude Resources (CRJ-T) — QVGD Investors, owner of more than 10% of the company, bought 40,000 shares at $1.37 to hold 3.84 million shares.
  • Kazakhstan Minerals (KMC.U-T) — Ophir Investment Fund, formerly holding more than 10%, sold 3.2 million shares at US21-23 cents to hold 1.28 million shares.
  • Northgate Exploration (NGX-T) — Westfield Minerals, owner of more than 10%, bought 128,500 shares at 70-82 cents to hold 7.79 million shares.
  • Northway Explorations (NOW-T)Jonpol Explorations, owner of more than 10%, bought 33,000 shares at 25-28 cents and sold 243,875 shares that it received as compensation for property at 30 cents to hold 1.06 million shares.
  • Opawica Explorations (OPW-T) — William Brereton, director, sold 11,900 shares directly at $1.34 and 8,000 shares indirectly at $1.66 to hold 53,431 shares directly and none indirectly.
  • Rhonda Mining (RDM-A) — Glen Alston, director, bought 394,000 shares at 21-33 cents and sold 80,500 shares at 25-28 cents to hold 710,750 shares.
  • Stroud Resources (SDR-T) — Alistair Brown, director, exercised 100,000 options at 13 cents and sold the resulting shares at 13 cents to hold an unspecified number of options and no shares; and George Coburn, director, exercised 150,000 options at 13-17 cents and sold the shares at 15-20 cents to hold an unspecified number of options and 533,844 shares.
