Louis Gignac, president of gold miner Cambior (TSE), recently moved into the market to increase his share holdings.
According to the Ontario Securities Commission’s OSC Bulletin, Gignac bought 3,000 shares last month for $7.87 to hold 15,207. Since the transaction occurred, Cambior shares have risen to around $8.63 where they trade in a 52-week range of $7-11.25.

Dayton Mining (TSE) director Paul Dircksen sold 14,500 shares for $2. 61-2.95 to hold 30,300.
Discovery West (TSE) officer and director Walter Steuerman sold 10,000 shares for $3.10 to hold 8,462.
Dundee-Palliser Resources (TSE) President Richard Brissenden bought 100,000 shares for 10 cents to hold the same number directly and 24,650 indirectly via Bywood Holdings Ltd. Director Roderick McGregor also bought 350,000 shares for 10-14 cents to hold 360,020.
Freewest Resources (TSE) director George Bryson bought 20,000 shares for $1.85-1.90 to hold 70,000.
Golden Rule Resources (TSE) affiliate CMP Resources, which owns more than 10%, sold 1.5 million shares held by subsidiary CDS & Co. for 35-40 cents to close out its holdings.
Jonpol Explorations (TSE) President John Pollock sold 105,000 shares privately for 20 cents to hold 193,500 directly. Through private holding companies, Pollock also bought 91,500 shares for 18-21 cents.
Royal Oak Mines (TSE) director Stanislaus Siscoe sold 10,000 shares for $1.83- 1.87 to hold 11,666.
