INSIDER TRADING — Caledonia execs sell shares

Three senior officers of Caledonia Mining (TSE) exercised options and sold shares in November.

According to the Ontario Securities Commission’s OSC Bulletin, senior officer and director Frederick Harvey exercised 20,000 options at 63 cents and sold 15,000 shares at US$8.75 to hold 260,000 shares and 275,000 options. Director and senior officer Edmund Merringer exercised 5,000 options at $5.25 and sold 5,000 shares at $9.88 to hold zero shares.

Senior officer Steven Poad exercised 22,000 options at $7.30-7.50 and sold 22,000 shares at $9.38-11.63 to hold zero shares and 58,000 options. Other transactions include:

Altai Resources (TSE) — Maria Au, director and senior officer, bought 60,000 shares at 92 cents and was granted 100,000 options at 69 cents to hold more than 1 million shares and 100,000 options.

BMR Gold (TSE) — Brant Little, senior officer, was granted 157,000 options at 35 cents to hold 336,900 options. Frank Varseveld, director and senior officer, exercised 76,000 options at 35 cents, bought 7,500 shares at 35 cents and sold 70,000 shares at 36-38 cents to hold 733,701 shares. Consolidated Ramrod Gold (TSE) — Karl Rollke, director and senior officer, bought 6,500 shares at $6-6.38 to hold 2.4 million shares. (Incorrect information appeared in our issue of Dec. 26, 1994.)

Glimmer Resources (TSE) — George Kent, director and senior officer, bought 6,000 shares at 80 cents-$1.15 to hold 1.2 million shares.

Granges (TSE) — Alan Thompson, director, was granted 40,000 options at $2.28 to hold 40,000 options.

Great Lakes Minerals (TSE) — Robert Cudney, director, sold 8,000 shares at $1.92-1.98 to hold 76,040 shares.

Greater Lenora (TSE) — James Kermeen, director and senior officer, sold 18,800 shares at $2-2.10 to hold zero shares.

Greenstone Resources (TSE) — Ian Park, director, sold 9,500 shares at $1.90 to hold 336,483 shares.

Kinross Gold (TSE) — David Rovig, director, sold 3,500 shares at US$4.25 to hold 391,850 shares.

Northern Dynasty Minerals (VSE) — Robert Dickinson, director, bought 547,500 shares at 1-20 cents and was granted 91,000 options at an undisclosed price to hold 547,500 shares and 91,000 options.

Panthco Resources (CDN) — Andrew Moffat, director and senior officer, exercised 121,966 options at 15 cents and sold 121,966 shares at 15 cents to hold 254,725 shares.

Teck (TSE) — Richard Drozd, senior officer, exercised 10,000 options at $17.13 and sold 10,000 shares at $25 to hold zero shares and zero options. Tintina Mines (TSE) — Wilfrid Abbott, senior officer and director, exercised 120,000 options at $1 to hold 122,000 shares and zero options.
