Initial results from a program of reverse circulation drilling has yielded significant gold values from property in Bourlamaque Twp. in the Val d’Or area of Quebec, Geomaque Explorations reports.
Basal till sampling has identified three separate parallel anomalies containing gold grains of up to seven times background value, the company reports. The source areas have a potential strike length of up to 2,000 ft and appear to be coincident with VLF-EM and inducted polarization geophysical anomalies. The company started up a 15,000-ft drilling program this m onth.
In other news, Geomaque has acquired 60 contiguous claims located in Pershing and Haig Twps., 64 km northeast of Val d’Or. The company reports the property is underlain by sheared felsic volcanics; line cutting, geological mapping and geophysical surveys will be undertaken this summer, to be followed by a drilling program.
