Inco Limited (TSE) in Thompson, Man., has won the provincial award for efficient electrical energy use in industry, it was announced recently by the Canadian Electrical Association and Manitoba Hydro.
The award is made to the industry in the province which has distinguished itself by achieving exceptional efficiencies in the management of energy through innovative and practical applications. The selection of a winner is made by a committee comprised of utility representatives.
Inco is a world class nickel mining and processing operation employing approximately 1,900 at its Thompson facility.
