I was greatly pleased to see the deserved tribute to the late Canadian mining pioneer Jack Botsford (T.N.M., Aug. 26-Sept. 1/02).
We corresponded for years, regarding his days at the Howey gold mine at my birthplace of Red Lake, Ont.
Unfortunately, a small error crept into the otherwise wonderful tribute. The Howey mine was situated in the town of Red Lake, rather than near it.
