After selling 41,850 oz gold from its mine in southwestern Newfoundland, Hope Brook Gold (TSE) reported net income of $2.8 million or 10 per share during the first nine months of 1988.
Revenues for the nine month period were $24.1 million.
Third quarter net income was $2.5 million or 9 per share, said Hope Brook which also reported revenues of $15.2 million during the quarter.
Open pit mining continued at a high level during the quarter both to supply the heap leach operation and to stockpile ore for treatment in the gold mill, the company said.
