The latest diamond drill and reverse-circulation (RC) holes at the Hinoba-an project have allowed International Pursuit (IPJ-T) to expand its high-grade copper zone.
The company continues to be encouraged by significant intersections along the western flank of the A-1 anomaly, where diamond drill hole 34 returned 72 metres of 0.6% copper followed by 90 metres of 0.5% copper, from a depth of 15-177 metres. Pursuit has confirmed the presence of higher-grade mineralization over a 500-metre strike length in the west-central portion of the A-1 anomaly, where it is focusing its efforts. Pursuit has added a seventh diamond drill rig to accelerate the delineation of the anomaly.
The latest stepout, RC holes drilled at the southern end of the Don Jose deposit, have all returned significant intercepts of near-surface copper mineralization. Hole 86 returned 48 metres of 0.65% copper, while hole 87 returned 36 metres of 0.62% copper.
Meanwhile, Pursuit has kicked off a study to assess the most viable size of a potential open-pit operation.
