Highland Valley Copper, a partnership between Cominco Ltd. and

Mining Corp. has concluded a new collective agreement with the United Steelworkers of America who represent its 1,100 unionized employees at the operations in B.C.’s Highland Valley. The agreement is for three years, ending June 30, 1989 and provides wage and benefit improvements in exchange for productivity measures. The agreement completes the merging of the two work forces in the Highland Valley.
