Underground exploration on the Chester Twp. gold project near Gogama, Ont., is yielding high grade gold values, partners Chesbar Resources and Murgold Resources say.
A drift on the 200-ft level averaged 0.573 oz gold per ton across a width of 5.1 ft and a drift length of 378 ft, Chesbar says. The first six rounds of a raise from the same level gave an average assay of 0.77 oz across 5 ft. The six rounds represent about 50 ft of raise.
Chesbar and Murgold hold a 60% and 40% interest in the project respectively.
