Still more encouraging assays have been received from the Howard tunnel under development on Levon Resources’ Congress gold property, near Gold Bridge, B.C., the company says.
It reports high grade gold ore was encountered during drifting of the tunnel, with assays from a 36-ft section averaging 0.740 oz gold per ton with an average width of 4.89 ft.
These assays, Levon reports, represent an extension of the 67-ft ore zone reported earlier in February. The new zone now totals 103 ft in length with an average grade of 0.545 oz, over an average width of 4.3 ft.
President Louis Wolfin says latest assays are being rechecked to ensure accuracy, adding that actual widths may be larger because the assays were limited to the portion of the vein exposed in the tunnel.
He said drifting continues at a rate of 16 ft per day.
