Hendricks active in Canada, Norway

Prospecting by Hendricks Minerals (CDN) on its 75%-owned property near Bathurst, N.B., has uncovered several mineralized blocks.

Grab samples averaged 7-14% combined lead-zinc mineralization and 8-14 oz. silver per ton. The blocks were found south of a major structural zone, previously explored for gold. Hendricks holds 210 claims in the area. The company has also entered an option agreement with a Norwegian group to earn an 86% interest in base metal and gold exploration targets 20 km northeast of the northern seaport of Narvik. To do so, it must complete work programs totaling $650,000 by June, 1998, and make advance royalty payments of $41,000 annually until production starts.

Hendricks will focus exploration efforts on a 2,700-acre block previously surveyed using airborne geophysics.
