The Society of Exploration Geophysicists has awarded its Maurice Ewing Gold Medal to geophysicist Harold Seigel, chairman of geophysical instrument manufacturer Scintrex.
Seigel was cited “for his pioneering role in the interpretation of induced-polarization data, and as a major figure in the development of geophysical theory, methods and technology.”
