Halo adds 600 metres to Bob Lake strike length

Halo Resources (HLO-V) has nearly doubled the strike length of its Bob Lake deposit at its Sherridon copper-zinc property in Sherridon-Flin-Flon, Manitoba.

With the completion of a 3,200-metre drill program, the company has extended the strike length to 1,400 metres in length.

Halo released the results from the last four holes of the 16-hole program today.

Hole DH16 intersected 5.8 metres grading 0.71% copper, 0.21% zinc and 4.2 grams silver per tonne. Another portion of the same hole intersected 2.4 metres grading 1.87% copper, 0.05% zinc, 8 grams silver per tonne and 0.06 gram gold per tonne.

A 13.5-metre intersection from DH18 returned 1.01% copper, 0.97% zinc and 6.2 grams silver per tonne.

All four holes intersected close to surface giving the deposit open pit potential.

DH17, 18 and 19 showed good down dip continuity of the mineralized horizon while DH16 confirmed mineralization between DH07-07 and DH07-19 a distance of about 600 metres, extending the strike length.

Up next is a second phase of drilling, but not until the results from the down hole Pluse EM survey and models are completed, which will help determine where the mineralization continues.

Until then, drilling will continue 4 km northeast of Bob Lake on the Jungle Lake copper-zinc deposit.

Halo shares were down about 4% in Toronto today to 49 on a trading volume of 419,000 shares.
