Recently a number of students at the Haileybury School of Mines were awarded scholarships for general proficiency or outstanding academic performance. Among the winners were Darwin Fiske (Saskatchewan), Richard Nolet (Quebec), Christopher Blondeel (Ontario) and Brian Small (Ontario), who received $750 each from the Women’s Association of the Mining Industry of Canada.
Other awards were given by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, Falconbridge Ltd., Rio Algom and others.
