Drill results are in hand from the first few holes of an ongoing program at the Peters mine property in Guyana, reports operator Guyana Goldfields (GGFI-C).
Hole 1 returned 30 ft. grading 0.059 oz. gold per ton, 55 ft. of 0.36 oz.
and 44 ft. of 0.31 oz. The second hole hit 10 ft. of 0.33 oz., while the third returned 18 ft. (from surface) of 0.071 oz., plus several narrow intervals (less than 4 ft.) with grades ranging from 0.085 to 0.33 oz.
The junior holds a 100% interest in the property, where historic production (1904-1909) was reported at 42,000 oz. The current program is aimed at defining resources in the open pit, near the main shaft, and at testing other targets on the property.
