Greenstone moves into Nicaragua

The right to acquire the Libertad gold mine in Nicaragua has been awarded to Greenstone Resources (TSE) and partners by the government of that country.

Greenstone says open pit reserves stand at 9.73 million tons grading 0.12 oz. gold per ton.

Greenstone and Nica Mine Ltd., a Nicaraguan company, will own 75% of Libertad as equal partners. Greenstone will act as operator. A Nicaraguan company, FESIMINI, representing the mine workers will own the remaining 25% interest.
