A diamond drilling program is scheduled to start this month on the Gold Creek property owned by Greenstone Resources (TSE) and Dragoon Resources (VSE) in British Columbia.
The 38,585-acre property is south of Cranbrook in southeastern British Columbia.
Greenstone says three separate areas of gold mineralization have been outlined by previous exploration along an 18-mile stretch of Gold Creek. Significant gold values were found by stream sediment sampling in the creek itself. The company says more than 50 samples contained in excess of 500 parts per billion gold (ppb), and in one area there were 11 samples containing more than 10,000 ppb gold (0.3 oz gold per ton).
Follow-up surface exploration included geological mapping, geophysics and soil sampling, according to Greenstone.
“The data suggest epithermal gold-copper targets,” says Greenstone President Ian Park. “The high values in streams have proved to be coincident with favorable geology,” he added.
