Toronto-based Platinova (PAS-T) has been granted the exploration rights to a parcel of land in northwestern Greenland.
The property hosts a zinc showing that was outlined by Greenland government geologists last summer. Limited exploration at that time also identified several zones of weathered mineralization over a strike length of 2.4 km in a 100-metre-wide stratabound horizon. Grab samples returned up to 24% zinc and 12% lead, as well as 170 grams silver per tonne.
Platinova intends to begin a program of geological mapping and sampling in May.
