Junior Greater Lenora Resources (TSE) has intersected several gold occurrences at the Goldfields project in northern Saskatchewan.
In the area of the Box mine pit, almost all of the 24 holes drilled have intersected mineralization. The gold is associated with quartz veins and sulphide mineralization, found proximal to the mine granite. The abundance of quartz veining and sulphide mineralization increases with depth, and Greater Lenora is planning to drill an additional 24 holes — half of them below 750 ft.
Meanwhile, in the area of the Althona pit, 51 holes have been drilled, with visible gold found within a shear zone and within two granitic units. The company hopes to complete a feasibility study by early 1995.
