Granges drops Cross Lake option

Vancouver-based Granges (TSE) recently dropped its option to earn a 60% interest in Cross Lake Minerals’ (VSE) Currie Bowman base metal property near Timmins, Ont.

Cross Lake says one of the four holes drilled on the property to test for massive sulphides on the Currie Twp. and Bowman Twp. properties intersected a zone of anomalous copper zinc in a siliceous horizon within rhyolite volcanics.

As a number of geophysical targets remain to be tested along the property’s 12-mile strike length, Cross Lake is attempting to arrange financing for further drilling.

In addition, Cross Lake recently spent $3,630 plus 100,000 shares to acquire 16 claims covering approximately 1,320 acres in Michie Twp., 12 miles south of Currie Twp. The Michie Twp. property covers a rhyolite basalt contact that is equivalent to the one on Cross Lake’s Currie Bowman property, according to President Rick Middleton.
