A diamond drilling program has intersected a high grade ore shoot at Granges Explorations’ (TSE) Goldfinch property near Revelstoke, B.C. Windflower Mining (VSE) is the company’s joint venture partner in the project.
Three holes drilled from the 1,000-m level at the south end of the main zone returned impressive gold values from an area containing extensive quartz veining.
Hole UG22 yielded 1.99 oz gold across 12 ft and UG25 assayed 0.67 oz over 7.9 ft. Another hole, UG26, averaged 0.18 oz over 7 ft. Two other holes drilled nearby returned low grade values but they were drilled below the rake of the ore shoot, the joint venture notes. The ore shoot appears to have a strike length of 165 ft which could be extended with additional work.
Over 1,650 ft of decline has been completed and 6,000 tons of ore stockpiled from undercut stoping in the Dorothy vein. The underground program is expected to continue for several more weeks and a pilot plant test is scheduled this summer.
